Overview
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of SpecSearch. By using SpecSearch, you agree to these terms.
SpecSearch provides a platform for discovering, organizing, previewing, requesting, and downloading manufacturer-provided engineering product information.
Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must provide accurate account information.
- You may not impersonate another person or company.
- You may not share access in a way that violates these terms.
- You must notify SpecSearch of suspected unauthorized access.
Platform Use
You agree to use SpecSearch only for lawful engineering, design, construction, procurement, facility management, manufacturer, or related business purposes.
- No scraping, harvesting, or automated abuse.
- No malware, spam, or attempts to disrupt the platform.
- No unauthorized access to restricted files or vendor data.
- No uploading content that violates law or third-party rights.
Content and Ownership
Manufacturers and vendors retain ownership of the product information, files, drawings, specifications, images, CAD files, BIM files, and related materials they provide.
SpecSearch retains ownership of the platform, software, design, search systems, workflows, analytics, user interface, and related technology.
Product Information Accuracy
Product information on SpecSearch may be supplied by manufacturers, vendors, representatives, or other authorized sources. SpecSearch does not independently certify that all product information is complete, current, or suitable for a specific project.
Users are responsible for verifying all critical specifications, dimensions, ratings, performance data, code compliance, and product availability with the manufacturer before design, procurement, installation, or construction.
Restricted Files
Some files may require approval before access is granted. By requesting restricted documentation, you agree to use it only for legitimate engineering, design, construction, procurement, maintenance, or manufacturer-approved purposes.
Platform Availability
SpecSearch may update, modify, interrupt, or discontinue parts of the platform from time to time. We aim to provide reliable access but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SpecSearch is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or project- related damages arising from use of the platform or reliance on product information.
